Traffic Changes on Pratt St.

Be careful if you’re biking on Pratt St. The bike & bus lane will not be in effect during Grand Prix improvements.

The shared lane will return after Pratt St improvements are complete; long before the Grand Prix race. “The loud, gross, obnoxious car thing” can apply to the area’s infrastructure as a whole.

What does that mean, exactly? That there will be no bicycle/bus sharrow until after the loud and gross and obnoxious car thing?

I like (sarcasm) how the picture you used of the bike/bus lane shows two motor vehicles other than buses in the lane.

So, I guess this means the city is saying they don't mind inconveniencing the cyclists just so cars can have one more lane in case a -car- lane is closed during GP prep. Lovely.

If I were riding on Pratt, I guess I'd take the (non-standard width/unsharable) lane (is that lane really 14 feet wide?) and inconvenience cars anyway.
