The Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks will host a grand opening of the Rockburn Skills Parks on Saturday, June 2 at 10 am with Ken Ulman, Howard County Executive and John R. Byrd, Recreation & Parks Director  The grand opening follows only 2 months of construction through the cooperation of Recreation and Parks, MORE (Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts), IMBA (International  Mountain Biking Association) and countless volunteers and organizations.

The skills park will challenge mountain bikers with a variety of terrain, surfaces and grades.  Riders will be able to  apply their new skills to area trails.  The skills park is located in Rockburn Branch Park adjacent to the pump track which opened last October.
