Mayor’s Bike Advisory Committee Seeks New Chair
After many years of dedicated service, Greg Hinchliffe is stepping down as chair of the Mayor’s Bicycle Advisory Committee (MBAC). Greg’s knowledge of local bikes routes and passion for cycling has helpd the city’s push its bike infrastructure.
MBAC is now looking for its next chair and first co-chair. As determined in last Tuesday’s MBAC meeting, nominations for chair and co-chair are open to the public, pending the nominee is
- a resident of the City of Baltimore,
- an avid cyclist and
- not an employee of the City of Baltimore
The duties of the chair include
- establishing agenda for monthly MBAC meetings
- setting goals and schedules for the group
- representing the cycling community as pertaining to city action and policy
- establish procedures and by-laws of the committee
- be represented by the co-chair when the chair is absent
Please send nominations to Gary Letteron. Nominations are open until voting begins at the next MBAC meeting to be held Tuesday, August 16th, 2011 in the Planning Department’s Conference Room (8th Floor, 417 E. Fayette St)
