A complete rolling grade dip (RGD) diverts water off the trail, reducing erosion

Under heavy skies and 90+ degrees at 8am on Saturday, more than 60 volunteers met at the Seminary Rd trailhead to improve erosion controls in the Loch Raven watershed.  After a brief but refreshing rain shower, volunteers installed seven rolling grade dips (RGDs) and filled in four low spots.  All planned work was completed within four hours before temperatures got too brutal.

Thanks to all who can out to do the hard work!  Special thanks to REI, Race Pace, Zac Tools and Bob Trailers for sponsoring the event!
