As the weather warms up, more bike-related events happen!  Here’s a quick view of some events happening….

The HUB/C’ville Bikes presents SPRING FLING FESTIVAL, March 16th
From 10 am – 5pm, The HUB is hosting a tent event sale complete with live music and food

Project Clean Stream 2013, April 6th
MORE  hosts the annual stream clean-up event at Loch Raven Reservoir.  Meeting at Warren Elementary School at 8:30 am and help clean up our water supply at Loch Raven until 12 noon.  Bring old gloves and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy!

Baltimore Family Bike Party, April 20th

Sherwood Gardens (Greenway & Stratford), 9:30 am

The tulips (all 80,000 of them) are blooming this spring at Sherwood Gardens – a favorite spring destination for many Baltimore families. Starting with a loop around this beloved neighborhood garden, we’ll ride along quiet curving streets past parks and playgrounds in Guilford, Homeland and nearby neighborhoods .

Rec & Parks Bike Rides, April 22nd – 27th

Celebrate Baltimore Green Week with bike rides around the city with the Recreation and Parks Department.

  • On Monday (22), Wednesday (24) and Friday (26),  join BCRP for a Parade to the Park starting at the BCPSS HQ at North & Guilford Aves.  Visit a different park for an hour long ride. (You must bring your own bike)
  • On Tuesday (23) and Thursday (24) join BCRP for a lunchtime ride starting at War Memorial Plaza. Bikes will be provided.
  • On Saturday (27), take a Tree Tour of Droodle (Druid Hill) by bike starting at noon from EcoFestival

Learn to Bike in Carroll Park Friday May 10, 1:30- 4:30

CycloFemme Ride, Sunday, May 12th
Join Baltimore’s women’s cycling group Crank Mavens for an international day of empowerment and celebration! This ride will leave from the Washington Monument in Mt. Vernon and run 10-15 miles with a few stops (route TBD). Women of all ages, abilities and experience are welcome– no one will be left behind! Details here and here
