Bike Boulevards Increase Livability

August 29th, 2012 | Categories: People | 1 comment

With the recent bicycle boulevard improvements to Guilford Avenue, 3 new mini-circles were created to replace 4 way stops.  The 32nd Street mini-circle has provided a venue for local artists to highlight their work.  The latest rendition is that of a living room setting, complete with 2 chairs, an end table and rug.  Not only do the pieces accentuate the presence of the mini-circle vertically, but also create a comfortable setting for passers-by.  This is a great improvement over the last porcelain centerpiece to occupy the circle.  A kitchen setting or laundry room will likely occupy this space in the future.

With the latest bicycle blvd developments to Guilford Opportunity, 3 new mini-circles were designed to substitute 4 way prevents. The 32nd Road mini-circle has offered a location for local performers to emphasize their work. The newest version is that of a living space area establishing, complete with 2 seats, an end desk and rug. Not only do the items emphasize the existence of the mini-circle top to bottom, but also make a relaxed establishing for passers-by. This is a great enhancement over the last pottery focal point to take up the group. A kitchen establishing or washing laundry space will likely take up this space later on.
